Keps! from Monas Creativity

Three more Fair Isle keps off the needles. 

Yarn: Rauma Finull


This is another Fishermans Kep, added more color  to the brim, and did the back side of the brim in a very soft yarn, so it wont itch. These long keps has button on the inside where the tassel is fastened, to give it some weight.


Left kep is Katies Kep.  
Button kep is Da Crofter,s Kep.

Fair Isle cushion from Granny Maud's Girl

I have achieved a new record for my knitting: this cushion has the most colours I have ever combined in one knitted project.

I used thirteen colours in one cushion.

I chose Marie Wallin’s pattern ‘Folk Fairisle Cushion’, but I went rogue with my colours. Looking at Ravelry projects for this pattern, I see that most knitters have followed the pattern exactly, using the recommended yarn and colours; only one other knitter chose their own colours as I did. It was not intentional, but friends say that my colour choices have a bit of a Christmas vibe.

I'm still here, are you still there? from Quilting through Rose-colored Trifocals!

 Last week, I found this happy place -- so many pumpkins and squash and gourds!
I just let myself have at it -- it was like fabric shopping but I don't have to make anything out of them!
I can just sit and admire them!
Then we can eat them or feed them to my son's chickens!
Win, win!!
Fall happens so fast here and I don't want to miss my favorite parts of it.
